English men in flipflops
Generally look quite unpleasant
I don't know if it's just the footwear
Or the rest of the outfit that does it

A burnt red head's not a great start
And (I'd've thought) must be hard to keep shaving
The pendulous belly? A container
For them to put all that ale in

My cuts are all in my mind
And thoughts
Not razors
Do the damage
Which isn't without, but within

Groundwork

If I ever have children I think I'll be prepared
After sharing a flat with two men
Currently unable to sleep through the night
They wake the poor sleepers around them

I'm not equating dirty dishes with nappies
And our bathroom is clean (more or less)
But I think that this is all laying groundwork
As I believe babies can cause quite a mess
