The dish sits alone on the worktop
It’s sides are encrusted with food
As I live in the flat
Should I wash it or
Would that
Just be seen as rude?
It wasn’t I who made the dish dirty
(I wash up after my meals)
But flies are now swarming
(Is this due to global warming?)
And it’s putting me in a bad mood.
